Councillor Judith Woodman attended the event and said: “It was a real pleasure to meet the young people and I am delighted that the network site is being so well used. I think this is a wonderful resource and something that is clearly going to prove very popular.”

Jane Latham, Development Manager of UCAN said “We are delighted with the uptake on UCAN-TALK, some of our members can feel very isolated and it is much more difficult for them to get out and about and make new friends, but by using this site they can keep in touch with their friends and more importantly, make new ones.”

Ceri Richmond, Managing Director of Core said “It's been a fascinating learning curve for us, testing everything we thought we already knew about designing accessible web sites. We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to get involved in this exciting and vital project.”

The site is a closed community, to receive more information about joining UCAN TALK please visit www.ucanproductions.org or contact us.
