Introducing Music and Singing with Flo
/We’re excited to be launching something new at UCAN!
Although the project is brand new, many of you will already know Flo from her work with us. Flo is a musician, composer and creative practitioner who brings warmth, creativity and plenty of energy to every session. She is also training in music therapy, and creating supportive, inclusive spaces where everyone can take part is at the heart of her work.
Funded by Tŷ Cerdd, Music and Singing with Flo is a series of workshops for blind and partially sighted children and young people.
The sessions will be relaxed, playful and hands on, giving participants the chance to explore different instruments, use their voices, create sounds and make music together. There’s no pressure to have any previous musical experience. It’s all about experimenting, having fun and finding your own way to get involved.
Music and Singing with Flo is about breaking down barriers, building confidence and making sure every young person has the opportunity to enjoy being part of a creative and inclusive musical space.
Workshops will take place in:
Barry
Wednesday 13 May, 4:00 to 5:00pm
Caerphilly
Thursday 14 May, 4:00 to 5:00pm
If you’d like to find out more or get involved, please contact Flo at florence@ucanproductions.org.
All activities are free.
